We now manufacture school canopies to the required sizes. Our canopies come standard with 35mm polycarbonate opal sheets, and all post connections are reinforced with welded joints. We also add gallows brackets to add even more strength. The school canopy has strong, 4 mm thick white-coated aluminium posts. This is a very high-spec canopy designed with schools and safety in mind.

Simple Strong Design

Our school canopies are simple to install and designed explicitly for low-pitch and variable-pitch lean-to applications. The Polycarbonate roofing system incorporates 35mm glazing panels co-extruded with an ultra-violet layer, which forms a barrier against UV radiation and protects against the sun.

The co-extruded Polycarbonate glazing panels offer a relaxing diffused light while maintaining high privacy. This also minimises the sight of any external surface debris. The roof glazing bars all have sculptured PVCu external capping.

Easy Installation

The simple design and snap-fit glazing system make the roof quick and easy to install. The roof pitch varies from 2.5 to 25 degrees, which means it can be installed on virtually every property type, utilising the advantages of its slim-line construction. The factory-prepared roof system is available in various projections and widths and can be trimmed to the exact length or width required on-site. We can also supply cut-to-size roofs to be fixed precisely.

Our school canopies are manufactured from polycarbonate, one of the most challenging and safest materials. The strength and longevity of the aluminium glazing system enable it to span up to 4 metres in projection. It is so strong that it can provide a safe maintenance platform for repairs (with boards) and as a means of escape.

Resistance To Weathering

During the manufacture of the polycarbonate panels, a layer of UV absorber is co-extruded onto the surface, forming a barrier against UV radiation. 
Polycarbonate panels carry a limited 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee against discolouration, ageing and resistance to hailstones. 
All structural components in aluminium & PVCu for strength and total weather resistance.

Low Pitch Systems

The lowest permitted pitch is 2.5 degrees, with excellent water integrity. It is ideal for single-storey schools or wherever height restrictions apply.

Strong Polycarbonate Sheeting

Polycarbonate glazing panels used in our school canopies are light, up to 200 times more potent than glass, and 10 times stronger than PVC panels. Heavy Duty Structural Aluminium & PVCu glazing system for ultimate strength. Strong enough to be walked on as a means of escape and maintenance (use yeoman boards during maintenance for safety)

Fire Rating

Structured polycarbonate sheets have been tested to most European standards, and BS476 Part 7 and BS476 Part 6 have a Class 1 Fire Rating. Polycarbonate panels are self-extinguishing and do not emit toxic gases, unlike PVCu panels.
