Frame Anchor Screws for Windows, Doors & Masonry
Frame anchor screws are now one of the most widely used fixing methods for installing windows, doors and frames directly into concrete, brick and masonry. Their simple plug-free design allows a secure mechanical fixing without the need for separate wall plugs.
Suitable for domestic installers, builders, window fitters and trade professionals, these multi-purpose concrete screws provide a fast, clean and reliable fixing for a wide range of frame installation work.
Direct Fixing into Concrete, Brick and Masonry
Unlike traditional frame fixings that rely on a separate plug, frame anchor screws are designed to bite directly into a correctly drilled pilot hole. This reduces the number of components required and can make installation quicker and more straightforward.
They are particularly useful for fitting uPVC, aluminium and timber window or door frames where a secure fixing is required without distorting the frame or leaving an oversized fixing head.
Window and Door Installation
Ideal for securing window and door frames into brick, blockwork or concrete. The flat head helps the fixing sit neatly within the frame rebate or fixing channel.
General Masonry Fixing
Also suitable for many other applications where timber, metal or plastic components need to be fixed directly to concrete or masonry.
Flat Star-Drive Head for Secure Installation
The flat star-drive head provides positive contact between the screw and driver bit, helping reduce cam-out during installation. This gives the installer better control and allows consistent tightening when fixing frames into masonry.
A compatible drive bit is included in every box, so the correct bit is available when the screws are first used.
Always drill the correct pilot-hole diameter and depth for the screw and substrate before installation. A pilot hole is required for proper performance.
Simple Three-Step Installation
Position the Frame
Level, pack and position the window, door frame or component before drilling.
Drill the Pilot Hole
Drill through the fixing point and into the concrete or masonry to the correct diameter and depth.
Drive the Screw
Use the supplied star-drive bit to tighten the frame anchor screw directly into the masonry.
Domestic and Trade Supply
Frame anchor screws are suitable for professional window installers, builders, maintenance teams and experienced DIY customers. Boxes are convenient for individual fitting jobs, while trade customers can order larger quantities for ongoing installation work.
Browse the available sizes below and choose a length that provides sufficient embedment into the masonry while allowing for the thickness of the frame, packing and any installation gap.
Choosing the Correct Frame Anchor Screw
The correct screw length depends on the frame thickness, the gap between the frame and the masonry, and the depth of fixing required in the supporting material. The fixing should achieve a secure hold without being overtightened, as excessive tightening can distort window and door frames.
Always consider the condition and type of masonry. Brick, block and concrete can require different drilling techniques, and weak or damaged substrates may need an alternative fixing method.
