Plastic Top Pins & Nails for Fascias, Soffits and Cladding
Plastic top pins and nails are specially designed self-masking fixings for exposed areas where a neat, colour-coordinated finish is important. They are ideal for uPVC fascias, soffits, cladding, trims and other maintenance-free building products.
Easy to install, corrosion resistant and available for both domestic and trade use, they provide a secure fixing without the need for separate caps or covers.
Neat, Self-Masking Fixings for Visible Areas
Plastic top pins and nails are designed for installations where the fixing remains visible. The coloured polymer head blends with the surrounding board or trim, creating a cleaner appearance than ordinary metal nails or exposed screws.
They can be installed in the same straightforward way as a conventional nail, making them quick and practical for both new installations and repair work.
Plastic Top Pins
Slimmer pins are ideal for lighter trims, finishing pieces and applications where a smaller, less noticeable fixing head is preferred.
Plastic Top Nails
Larger nails provide a stronger fixing for fascia boards, soffits, cladding and other exterior building products that require secure mechanical fastening.
Strong Annular Ring Shank
Specially designed annular rings along the shank improve grip within the supporting timber. This gives plastic top pins and nails holding characteristics similar to a conventional threaded fixing while retaining the speed and simplicity of hammer installation.
The result is a reliable fixing that helps resist movement and withdrawal after installation.
The combination of a shatter-resistant polymer head and A4 stainless steel shank makes these fixings particularly suitable for exposed, damp and coastal environments.
Corrosion-Resistant A4 Stainless Steel
The stainless steel shank offers excellent resistance to rust and weathering, helping prevent staining and deterioration around exposed fixings. This is especially important on white or light-coloured uPVC products where ordinary steel fixings may eventually leave visible rust marks.
The durable polymer head is designed to resist shattering during installation while maintaining a tidy appearance throughout the life of the product.
Popular Uses
Suitable for Interior and Exterior Projects
Plastic top nails and pins can be used both inside and outside. Their discreet appearance makes them suitable for decorative finishing work, while the stainless steel construction makes them equally useful for exposed roofline and cladding installations.
The flat polymer head is also more difficult to grip and remove than many conventional screws and nails, giving the fixing a more tamper-resistant finish.

Choosing the Right Plastic Top Fixing
Select the fixing length according to the thickness of the board or trim and the depth of sound timber available behind it. The head colour should be chosen to match or closely complement the fascia, soffit, cladding or finishing profile.
Avoid overdriving the fixing, as excessive force may mark the board or damage the polymer head. Drive it firmly until the head sits flat against the surface.
