Under normal conditions fascia, brackets should be positioned so as to avoid the fixing screws splitting the top edge of any timber fascia board.

Use a string line between the bracket and the outlet to determine a straight line (if fitting to a fall, 1:350 is recommended).

All brackets should be secured to the fascia board with two 25mm x 4mm (1” x 8) brass/ zinc plated round heads on mini gutter systems they should be spaced at a maximum of 500mm apart and within 150mm of all fittings. It is better to use too many than not enough due to snow loads.

External and Internal angles unions outlets ann stop ends should have a fascia bracket within 150mm of the fitting.
